Crying Newborn

The persistent cry of a newborn is heart wrenching and sometimes we just don't know how to settle our baby. My daughter Lauren was a crier and I remember worrying and feeling hopeless. It didn't matter what I did, she just kept on with her high pitched cry, I tried to breast feed, rock, cuddle, pat...nothing seemed to work ☹️
Finally, one day, it was over...the crying stopped, oh...she was 4 months old when it stopped!
Of course, hindsight and knowledge is a wonderful thing and i have learnt a few things since then. Lauren is now 25 and if she is crying then it is her husband's job to make things right 😉...well, that's not entirely true because there is nothing like your mum to make things better, even if you are many kilometres away from each other. No matter how old you are, Mum is still Mum and she rocks!
Lauren and I are approximately 1800km away from each other and even though I couldn't always settle her, I can now! Mum is the best person to let it all out to because Mum's love their children and we are non-judgemental, empathetic and knowledgeable women!
This photo brings back so many memories and I just want to reach into the photo, put his/her little arms together and make it all better 💗
