Mummy Review

As a first-time Mum with no family in town, I struggled. My daughter had a posterior and anterior tongue tie, as well as a thick and unforgiving lip tie. Feeding was excruciating, and as wonderful as the midwives were in assisting me position and attach my daughter, I curled my toes every feed. Lynaire saved my mental health, my self-confidence, and my boobs 😅. More than that, she made me feel like I had my Mum around. Lynaire came to my home, sat with me in my living room and watched my daughter and I feed, supported me to make adjustments and ultimately was able to suggest that I see a paediatric dentist for a second opinion. My daughter had the tongue ties adjusted at four weeks (lip tie was not as clear at this time). Lynaire sat with me on my return to town, again supporting and talking through strategies not only to support my daughter to feed, but generally to help myself adjust to motherhood. She listened and cared. My daughter's ties reattached (common to happen) and I travelled again to have this corrected once more and also adjust the lip tie. Lynaire prepared me as much as she could and counselled me afterwards as the experience at 4 months was somewhat traumatic. After such a difficult start, we fed successfully for the best part of my daughter's first year. I do not believe this would have been possible without the support, love and guidance I received from Lynaire. We will be eternally grateful. Jas & bub
